This years turn out for the Abate Region 1 Blessing Of The Bikes was the largest ever. Picture perfect weather
and good friends added up to a great day of riding and camaraderie.

2006 Southwest STAR-B-Q Farthest Rider Award
Chapter 243 member Mike Swadener recently attended this years Southwest Star-B-Q in Ft. Worth Texas. Having turned
in over 2100 miles round trip, Mike is shown with his trophy for "Riding The Farthest Distance". Congratulations Mike and
thanks for representing our chapter.
Flag Presentation
STAR Vet Travis Jones (left), who recently returned home from duty in Iraq is pictured below, presenting STAR Vet
Rep Mike Swadener (center) and President Rick Rembold (right) with the flag he brought back from Baghdad. The
flag complete with certificate, flew over the Headquarters of the Multi-National Corps-Iraq in Chapter 243's honor
during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

2005 Bluegrass STAR-B-Q Oldest Rider Award
Chapter 243's own Dewey Wickizer received the oldest rider award at this years Bluegrass STAR-B-Q in Louisville. Dewey
is 63 years young. Congratulations Dewey!
Feed The Children Ride at Star Days 2004 in Roanoke Virginia.
Feed The Children Organization is the Charity of choice for Star Touring And Riding Association. Each year STAR and it's
many Chapters raise thousands of dollars in support of this very worthy cause. At our annual Star Days Event, the Feed The
Children Ride and auction are two of the main highlights of the week long event.

Star Motorcycle Custom Big Rig Debuts at Daytona CYPRESS, California, March 2, 2005 Demonstrating
a significant commitment to the Star Motorcycles brand, Yamaha Motor, USA will debut a new Star Motorcycles custom truck
and trailer at the annual Daytona Bike week, March 7-12. The distinctive black and silver rig featuring the Star Motorcycles
logo will be home base for many cruiser events and demonstration rides scheduled throughout
the country. The integrated display area showcases the full line of Star cruisers, a vast selection of accessories and apparel,
as well as several hand-crafted, fully customized Star motorcycles. Each and every Star rider is very special to us said Kim
Knupp, Sales Promotion Manager for Yamaha Motor Corporation, and this new truck and all its features will enable us to offer
them the level of hospitality they deserve. We’re excited to encourage everyone to visit us either at the main display
on Beach Street or see the new demo rig at our Daytona
International Speedway display. If you can’t make Daytona, there are many other scheduled events throughout the season.
